FASHION: FINALLY, A LINGERIE LINE THAT CELEBRATES WOMEN OF DIFFERENT COLORS, SHAPES AND SIZES!

In a moment when fashion campaigns and magazines covers are dominated by Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, seeing a new face on an ad is refreshing. New Zealand brand Lonely Lingerie took it a step further—casting nine real women of various skin colors and sizes for a new campaign, without retouching a single photo.

The Autumn/Winter 2016 campaign was shot by June Canedo and styled by Zara Mirkin. It stars ballerina Anna Collins (Petra Collins' sister), Art Hoe Collective founder Gabrielle Richardson, trans model Aurel Haize Odogbo, New York-based stylist Marcela Jacobina, Slutever founder Karley Scortino, artist Ajani Lucid, model Paloma Elsesser, designer Georgia Pratt, and Canedo's own mother.
Lonely designer Helene Morris calls them "independent women who can collectively say they are proud to be themselves." The campaign is especially poignant now, at time when models (like Hadid and Sailor Brinkley Cook) are being shamed for their body types or looks and when minorities are still meagerly represented in fashion.
"I just want women to accept who they are and appreciate what they bring to this world and very importantly be proud of what they look like," Mirkin said. "Any size or skin color."

Finally a lingerie company that celebrates women of different shapes, sizes and colors. Any thoughts on this lingerie line?
