Hey Trendies! I hope you are enjoying the new season and all the articles on fall trends. I actually want to revisit the plaid trend "The Fall Transition." With plaid being one of the most popular prints right now, it deserves an entire article all about it. I have always sported plaid flannels during the fall and winter season, mostly because of their overall comfort and warmth. But, these days, I am seeing the plaid on everything from dresses to handbags. With this trend hitting the runway several months ago, it is now in every retailer and magazine. So, to help you jump in on this latest trend, I have compiled a few different must-have pieces!
THE COAT
Plaid is usually printed on a flannel or wool fabric, which makes it perfect for warm coats. Several major designers, from Alexander Wang to Coach, have coined their own plaid coat for the fall season.
THE SKIRT
Designers are taking the cliché school girl skirt to the next level. You can find this skirt as a mini, maxi or midi as well as tight or loose.
THE PANT
Pair these babies with a classy heel, and you can wear this look at work and at night. Who knew plaid pants could be so versatile?
THE DRESS
I have to admit this is my overall favorite plaid piece. A plaid flannel dress can be worn super casually with a pair of your favorite boots, or you can dress it up a little bit with some heels.
So, these are just a few of the many different plaid pieces that are in this season. Last season it was gingham and now its plaid, who knew checks would be so trendy this year?
